IMEI stands for International Mobile Station Equipment Identity. IMEI is a unique number to identify every mobile phones, as well as some satellite phones. In case if your phone is stolen then you can contact your network provider, provide them the IMEI number of the stolen phone and they will blacklist the phone using that IMEI numkber. So this IMEI number is very useful one.

Method 1(applicable to all phones):

Dial *#06#
IMEI number will be displayed on your phone screen.


Method 2(applicable to all phones):
Remove your phone battery from your phone. You can find the IMEI number printed inside the battery compartment of the phone.


Method 3(applicable to android phones)

From your phone screen click on menu and then go to settings. Scroll down to bottom and open the About phone page. Click on status and you can find out the IMEI of your phone from that page.

Note down your IMEI number in your diary. In case someone steals your phone then don't allow him the benefit of using the stolen phone. Report to your network service provider and they will do the rest.
